Rust Preventative Oils

Wyse oil provide a wide range of rust preventatives and de-watering fluids including light viscosity types with short-term shelf life through to waxy type long-term products. The range also includes water extendable products which are free from organic solvents and more environmentally acceptable. For the protection of metals, depending upon the level of protection required, dewatering capabilities and flash point requirements, our range offers solutions to the wide and diverse demands of industry. The dry film, longer term products do not attract dirt, where as oil based high flash point products can be used where an oil residue is required. Our pure de-watering products are inter-operational for short term protection, whilst the waxy type products are suitable for longer term outdoor protection. Dewatering oils DW range DW1782 DW1782 is a water-displacing grade that contains anti-corrosion additives and lubricating properties. Due to its low viscosity, DW1782 can be applied by brush, dip or spray equipment. It has exceptional penetration for intricate components and is free from silicone type materials. DW1744 DW1744 is a light viscosity product with dewatering properties whilst on drying deposits a film which provides corrosion protection. DW1744 is suitable for medium to long term storage under good conditions. Use as received for the corrosion protection of ferrous components, DW1744 can be applied by brush. Swab, dip or spray equipment. Rust preventative oils RP range RP1403 RP1403 is a light greasy rust preventative in a hydrocarbon solvent base. It is ideally suited for the short term protection on small machined parts. Apply by dipping in baskets or on trays. It leaves a thin, economical film on parts, which there is no need to remove prior to assembly. RP1400 RP1400 is a light viscosity rust preventative with the capability of excellent coverage and penetration. Used for the protection of ferrous components on a short term basis, RP1400 is a high flash point product with a low odour in use, making it operator acceptable. RP2473 RP2473 is a medium term light viscosity rust preventative offering indoor corrosion protection of greater than 12 months. It has the added benefit of excellent water displacing properties and inhibits the corrosion of iron, steel, copper, brasses, aluminium, tin, cadmium, zinc, galvanised steel, nickel, lead, magnesium and silver. PW11 WAXFILM Providing long term protection of ferrous and most non-ferrous components, PW11 is ideal for the corrosion protection of vehicle underbodies (or similar sections) during storage and particularly for application into closed sections and inner panels. Other applications include springs, linkages and similar components which are exposed to water and salt environments. PW11 is preferably applied by spraying but brushing maybe employed. PW11 offers 5 years minimum protection indoors whilst 2 years minimum outdoors is obtained. Water-extendable rust preventative oil RP-WE RP-WE is a water dispersible rust preventative designed as a safe alternative to solvent based products and which is free from VOCs. Formulated to be used at 20% by volume, the emulsion is made first by measuring water into the tank and then by pouring RP-WE into the water with constant stirring to obtain a uniform mixed emulsion. This product is recommended for indoor protection only and provides a duration of 6 months corrosion prevention.
