We are a family run business, which has been passed through two generations and is currently being passed onto the third. Currently we have around fifteen employees and run fifteen machines on a daily basis. The company was founded in 1969 by R J Hawkins in Long Acre, Birmingham, with the intention of manufacturing polythene bags and merchandising associated products. In 1984, the business began to grown and extrusion was introduced which allowed the company to have a greater control of lead-time and quality. As we found both extrusion and conversion growth increasing, in 1995 we moved to our current premises in Aston. This gave us twice the space previously owned, enabling the company to continue to expand and introduce new lines of production, such as our wicketted bags.
