Peter’s Challenge for Parkinson’s Continues

Peter Smith, Founder and Director of Peak Sensors has changed his challenge to continue to raise money for the charity Parkinson’s UK. Peter was originally going to undertake the Peak District Challenge on Saturday 4th July 2020, walking a 50km route starting and finishing in Bakewell. Due to the event being cancelled and the changes to our everyday life, Peter has decided not to give up. He will be walking 50km in July, either as one long walk or split over multiple walks to adhere to government exercise guidelines and social distancing rules in place at the time. If it can be, it will definitely be a 50km walk in one day. Peter is determined to complete his challenge walking 50km close to his home as raising money for Parkinson’s means so much to him. Peter has Parkinson’s, he was diagnosed in 2012 and 8 years on is now trying to walk further in day or over back to back days than he has ever done. The Peak Sensors team are very proud of Peter and are supporting him all the way to the finish line.
