About Us

The company was established in 1958 by Mr Oswald Heap and then taken over in 1970 by his son Mr Wesley Heap who resides at present as the company-managing director. The company employs 30 full time members of staff within their core business together with additional specialist engineers required for certain projects.

A service network throughout the United Kingdom is established, which offers cover within all areas of business including civil engineering, local authorities, hospitals, schools, airports and private sector businesses.

The company operates a quality control system in accordance with ISO 9001:2008 for the maintenance of portable fire extinguishers, fire alarm and emergency lighting systems. The company was accredited with third party approval in 1994 by the British standards institute and has now undergone an extensive reinvestment in training to give our service engineers third party certification through the BAFE technicians training scheme. This scheme was set-up to give end users the piece of mind that the service engineers they had working on their sites were competent individuals who were capable of carrying out the duties correctly.

As standards change over the coming years O Heap & Son will continue to evaluate there changes and strive to give the same high standard of service at competitive rates to all there customers while maintaining a quality service within there sector of business.
