Masterflex-Cargobike on international Hydrogen Conference Gelsenkirchen, June 7, 2006. Masterflex AG will present it's fuel powered Cargobike on the 16th international World Hydrogen Energy Conference (WHEC 16) from 13th tos 16th June 2006 in Lyon (France). The Cargobike will be exhibited on the joint booth of the HyChain partners. The trans-regional European HyChain Minitrans project shall present innovative and sustainable alternatives to the heavily oil-dependant transportation market. Emerging markets will be identified and replacement options for selected transport applications will be created. HYCHAIN MINITRANS encompasses particularly the operation of 150 small and lightweight vehicles powered by fuel cells, as well as the generation, storage and logistic distribution of hydrogen. Germany’s Ruhr region has been selected as one the European test regions. Other participating regions are Grenoble (France), Modena (Italy) and Castilly y Leon (Spain). Masterflex AG intends to deploy at least forty of its “Cargobikes” in the four regions. After Montreal 2002 and Yokohama 2004, the 16th World Hydrogen Energy Conference (WHEC 16), is this time organised by the French Hydrogen Association (AFH2), under the auspices of the International Association for Hydrogen Energy (IAHE) and in cooperation with the European Hydrogen Association (EHA).
