Good things come in Compact packages
It has been a busy six months for door entry specialists ISM with their Compact system “flying off the shelves” according to Geoff Pye, Commercial Director who commented, “We’ve had tremendous success with our Compact door entry system in the London boroughs and have recently won a contract with Crawley Borough Council where it is currently being installed in 50 low rise residential blocks. The compact is popular with housing associations and local councils for many reasons not least its ease of installation, ease of use and, with regards to on-going maintenance it requires very little attention. It is robust and will withstand many knocks. It’s an off the shelf system but we make bespoke panels too.” The compact is likewise popular with installation companies and has been used on multiple London-based social housing projects by national security systems integrator, SCCI Alphatrack. Commenting on ISM’s Compact System, Dave Parris, their Project Manager said, “SCCI Alphatrack have used the Compact System on various projects for Lambeth council and have found the system to be cost-effective and extremely reliable. We have found the compact system to be competitively priced, with little or no maintenance required during the installation/defect period and can report that we have had no call outs to any of the compact systems installed in the borough of Lambeth in last year’s installation programme.” At ISM’s manufacturing plant in West Sussex, the team is currently working 6 days a week to keep up with the demand for Compact. “We designed Compact for low-rise blocks of flats with up to 15 flats per block and as has been evidenced in the London boroughs and, with Crawley Council it meets a real need. We’re now introducing it to local councils and housing associations throughout the UK. Compact works, it’s cost effective and is no longer a well-kept secret,” Pye concluded.
