Geoff Hawley has joined Baker Perkins Inc. at Grand Rapids, Michigan, as Senior Account Manager responsible for sales of the company’s systems and services for producers of cookies and crackers, bread, confectionery, breakfast cereals and snacks Geoff has 30 years’ experience in the food industry; he moves to the USA from Baker Perkins in the UK, where he spent 10 years as an international sales manager for bakery equipment. He will support customers in the north-eastern and north-western states, as well as Canada, Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean. Baker Perkins has supplied machinery and systems for the food industry from its base in Michigan for over 100 years. Automatic plants and unit machines harness the latest engineering and control technology to maximize performance, while making machines easier to operate, clean and maintain. Services include product and process development in an Innovation Centre, and a commitment to a Lifetime Support programme that includes parts, service, upgrades and rebuilds designed to improve performance and maximize service life.
