Abacus Stone Sales was established in 2005 and was formed by Allan Pogson and Shaune Lockwood from their previous companies – Griffin Antiques and West Yorkshire Architectural Antiques & Salvage. Allan has over 20 years' experience in architectural antiques, the salvage of facades and porticos/spires, whilst Shaune has worked in the demolition industry for a number of years. Based in Holmfirth, on the site of the former Haggwood Stone Quarry, Abacus specialise in the reclamation and salvage of antique Yorkstone buildings, and are constantly sourcing materials from demolition sites throughout West Yorkshire and Lancashire. We work with architects, interior designers, landscape gardeners, property developers, local authorities, large utility companies and museums, and sell to reclamation yards and garden centres throughout the country and abroad including Ireland, America, Australia, Belgium, Germany and France.
