Most commercial Intruder Alarms are requested by a firm’s insurance company to minimise their risk. The insurance company will stipulate certain terms and conditions with a list of companies from whom to request a survey and risk assessment. Part of the insurer’s recommendation will state that the installation company must be NSI Approved and hold QA certification. The NSI (National Security Inspectorate), (formally NACOSS) has three certification levels – bronze, silver and gold. These levels are based upon their technical expertise with bronze being the lowest and gold being the highest. Western Security Systems Ltd holds a Gold Certificate; this is the highest grade.
