Signalling to the Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) is by three means: Digital Communicator: Generally a reliable and cost effective means of getting the alarm signal to the ARC. However should the telephone line be cut or damaged, the alarm is technically defeated and sounders are the last resort to warn intruders away. BT RedCare: This is a strong signalling method that uses encrypted signals to alert the ARC. Should the telephone line be cut or damaged, the ARC will be alerted and can take appropriate action. BT RedCare GSM: is the strongest form of alarm signalling currently on the UK market. It uses two alarm transmission paths (BT line and the 02 mobile phone network).
