E-Z Hook XB Insulation Piercing Clamp Test Lead - 30cm This E-Z Hook test lead has an XB insulation piercing clamp with a 12in/ 30cmm lead with a 4mm stacking shrouded banana plug fitted to the end, enabling direct connection to a multimeter or test instrument.   Available in Red, Black and Yellow or as a set of 3 colours.   The XB Insulation Piercing Clamp has a heat treated steel 'bed of nails' in its base moulded in durable nylon. The clamp element has a mouth large enough to accept wires up to 3.8mm OD and is screw threaded to clamp the wire down on to the bed of nails.  When screwed down the bed of nails pierces the wire insulation making contact with the internal conductor allowing the connection to be made.       The insulation-piercing clamp is designed for hard to make test connections of varying wire sizes.  View the datasheet for more information.
