LAD-H Heavy duty Lift Assist Damper for Bar and Counter Flaps If you do drop by then at the top of our list of things to show you will be the new LAD-H. The LAD-H is a heavy duty version of the LAD bar flap concept. It's bigger and stronger to meet the needs of those with heavier counter flaps. Bar and counter flaps are essential yet they are awkward to use and can be hazardous. Not only do you have to fight gravity to open them but close them carelessly and they can come crashing down possibly hurting someone. The LAD-H is a combination of a lift assist mechanism and a damper so opening the counter flap is easy and when closing powerful dampers control it's descent. It's very user friendly and strong enough even for Corian counter tops. LIN-X1000 Lateral Opening Door System Another product that has grown out of a smaller and very successful line is the LIN-X1000. The original LIN-X provided a novel and space saving lateral opening motion for cabinet doors, it opens out and to the side in a most captivating fashion. Th LIN-X1000 has the same smooth damped motion but it is for doors up to 2.9m high and weighing up to 90kgs which should cover most bases. The mechanism gives unrestricted access to the interior with the open door positioned out of the way to the side. The door will stop anywhere (Sugatsune calls this 'free-stop') and it is damped when closing. Also important is that the robust mechanism allow the handle to be placed anywhere on the door. The HES3D range of adjustable concealed hinges The beautiful and functional HES3D architectural hinges are growing in the opposite direction, every year or so a successively smaller version is introduced. The HES3D-70 is a fully adjustable multiliink concealed hinge for doors as thin as 19mm making them a viable alternative to traditional concealed hinges in kitchens bedrooms and bathrooms. They share the same concept and basic functionality as the hefty HES3D-190, good for doors weighing up to 125Kgs. They look fantastic and genuinely add value to any furniture or cabinetry they are applied to.
