Wet Pour Rubber Splash Zone Bristol Zoo Posted on Friday 9th November, 2012 SSP installed wet pour rubber to the children’s play area at Bristol Zoo’s n visitor attraction Explorer’s Creek . The ‘Splash’ area of the attraction is described by the Zoo as a water-play zone with streams, dams and the chance for youngsters to get their toes wet. SSP Ltd worked closely with the estates team at Bristol Zoo to install a wet pour rubber surface using the company’s 16 years of experience of outdoor play surfaces to offer solutions to create the stunning new safe play area. ‘We had to get the right blend of coloured rubber crumb’ said Andrew Lofting, SSP’s Project Manager ‘to give the play area the visual impact the Zoo required. We have considerable experience in visitor attraction play areas such as those recently installed at the RAF Duxford Museum and the Wetland & Wildfowl centres and this helped with this project. Both I and the Zoo are really pleased with the results’.
