First Look: EIZO Introduces New Rugged H.265 Video Encoder

EIZO Rugged Solutions Inc. has announced the Tyton VS2X – a powerful SWaP-efficient box-level H.265 (HEVC) / H.264 video encoding and streaming solution with four 3G-SDI, HD-SDI, SDI or composite TV channels. The 1.25 kg Tyton VS2X line-replaceable unit (LRU) is fully ruggedised to resist shock, vibration, humidity and dust as well as operate at temperatures from -40°C to 85°C. It complies with MIL-STD-810F, MIL-STD-461F, DO-160, and IP67 standards and is operating system-independent, hardware agnostic, stand-alone, and highly efficient with low power consumption (15W maximum).
