Non-Return Valves

A cost effective solution to help avoid expensive repair costs due to flood damage. SVR Plastics have two types of anti-flood valve, single and double flap. Single flap units contain a non-return valve that allows smooth flow in the desired direction but automatically blocks water and or vermin from the other, effectively preventing flooding. Double flap unit have the same functionality but with a second valve, thus increasing reliability and security if the first valve manages to become damaged or clogged. These valves are similar in function to flap valves, however being 'in-line' allows them to have a more varied array of uses compared to flap valves, which are limited to the ends of a pipeline. This feature makes non-return valves more suitable for domestic and small business use, where access to the end of a run of pipe may not be possible.
