Drilling

The Drilling department takes the data sent from Front End, and uses this information to drill the panels. A test panel is drilled prior to the batch to ensure that everything is correct and the correct drills are being used. One Way can drill holes from 0.3mm to 6.4mm (holes larger than this would be Routed). Our machines are able to check that the drills are the correct size and also they can detect if a drill breaks or chips. One Way has automatic loaders and un-loaders on some of their drilling machines, this enables us to run the machines overnight unsupervised. We also have multi spindle machines for larger quantity runs. All the drilling machines are connected to the network allowing quick updating of the drill files. Our Drilling department currently has 22 drilling spindles of which 16 can also rout.
