Phishing involves contact via email. The sender impersonates well known organisations such as banks and attempts to dupe you into clicking on a link or attachment in order to access your passwords and personal information. Smishing is simply the fraudulent act of phishing through SMS communication. Once again, the aim is to trick the recipient into divulging personal details.
