Xceedium’s xCONTROL SERIAL remote SSH console access solution provides the ability to log multiple users into their respective assigned ports simultaneously. As a result, the service provider has more control and security over who is accessing the customers equipment. The xCONTROL SERIAL is modular in design, allowing the administrator to add additional communication modules as needed. This allows for a more scalable solution and prevents unnecessary cost. The solution provides serial console access to any device attached to the xCONTROL SERIAL. It allows easy remote access for multiple concurrent sessions. User Authentication has been added to the unit for added security. Utilization of the unit is typically achieved via network (via TCP/IP, Telnet, dial-up) or out-of-band (via RS-232) access. When used in conjunction with the SSL-UAG+, administrators can achieve secure web-based access and centralized management and control of any attached console/serial device, via this unit, anywhere, anytime. xCONTROL SERIAL series devices, working in conjunction with the SSL-UAG+, offer the highest security possible for remote serial console access. In models without the SSH enabled, the transmission is encrypted by the 128-bit SSL encrypted by default. In models with the SSH enabled, the transmission is double-encrypted with SSH under SSL. Historically, there has not been a reported vulnerability associated with the possible hacking of a dual-encrypted data stream.
