Elecro G2 Titanium Heat Exchangers 1. Description Whilst not as efficient to use for pool heating as a heat pump, heat exchangers can be used to heat pool water via a boiler. The boiler provides hot water to the heat exchanger. Pool water runs alongside the hot water from the boiler and transfers the heat to the pool water. Heat exchangers can be used as a backup to a heat pump on indoor pools. They can also be used with domestic type heat pumps that have a higher flow temperature than swimming pool heat pumps. We recommend the Elecro G2 Titanium heat exchangers as they have excellent performance and build quality Elecro Multi-Tubular heat exchangers are comprised of a 38-piece Titanium tube bundle, giving a vast surface contact area for the two water circuits. The primary circuit chamber - through which water from the heating source travels, is very narrow ensuring heat is absorbed and replaced with Hot water quickly. These strategic design features enable the Elecro heat exchangers to perform very efficiently even when working with low value Primary temperatures, such as Solar heating systems. The rigid aluminum jacket encapsulating a pocket of air, thermally insulates the entire unit ensuring that heat is transferred within the desired chamber and absorbed by the swimming pool water, rather than lost to the atmosphere. Titanium Tube Bundles make the Elecro Heat Exchangers ideal for use on Salt Chlorinated pools. The unique design and robust construction of the Elecro Generation 2 (G2) Heat Exchanger offers an unrivaled heat transfer surface area, making it one of the most efficient products on the market. Featuring a densely packed tubular bundle in a thermally insulated primary chamber. The relatively small volume of the chamber and large surface area of the internal tubing provides superb heat transfer efficiency and minimal energy loss, making the G2 the perfect choice for all applications including gas or oil fired boiler circuits, solar panels, heat pumps or chillers. The G2 is manufactured to the highest specification, using the strongest and most durable materials. The shell is constructed from BS 316L stainless steel (EN 1.4432) and enclosed by a rigid thermal casing for enhanced insulation of the primary water flow, ensuring maximum efficiency. It has been designed to allow the installation engineer to select which way to plumb the primary and secondary water to achieve maximum thermal gain. This is achieved by routing the primary flow in an opposing direction to the secondary (pool) water.
