Forbes Technologies Ltd successfully won and completed a 950,000 US Dollar contract for a series of processing & waste treatment vessels 3.5 metres diameter by 9 metres tall to be installed in a mineral extraction & mining operation in Kazakhstan. The contract was won against stiff competition from the Chinese who are near neighbours to Kazakhstan. The consignment was shipped via Berwick-on-Tweed docks to St Petersburg and then overland south to the site. The tanks are used for chemical extraction & precipitation of various minerals.
