Great Taste Award Winners

As part of our growing achievements, we are pleased to announce that our own personally roasted coffee bean range, Caffe Prima 100% Colombian Arabica and Caffe Prima Roma beans have both received the prestigious Great Taste Award. The Great Taste Awards are run by the Guild of Fine Food and have been described as the ‘Oscars’ of the food world. These awards are gained by products being assessed by over 500 judges, including specially trained food connoisseurs. The judges come together for 62 days, trialling over 12,366 products to whittle down to only 3,336 award winners. Caffe Prima Roma The Roma boasts a delicious syrupy body, well-balanced taste, hints of citrus fruit and a nutty finish. The Great taste team certainly agreed, awarding our coffee with a 1 Great Taste Star rating, which means judges deemed as simply delicious, stating that the ’Subtle citrus on the start moving through more roasty tones’ and when they added milk the tastes developed further ‘brought out a totally different experience – caramel and biscuit with the citrus holding up well. Pleasant length and finish.’ - We couldn’t agree more! Caffe Prima 100% Colombian Arabica Meanwhile our very own Colombian Arabica won a two star rating deeming it an outstanding product, feedback from the judges included ‘It’s a crowd-pleaser and deserves its stars.’ The medium roast we’ve produced is premium in quality, injecting a rich wine flavour with a sprinkling of orange peel and a toffee-like sweetness, balancing in flavour.
