A warning light will come on whenever the batteries reach critical level. So, if the batteries ever go flat, there are contact points on the bottom of the unit. All you need to do is connect a 9V battery for a fail safe backup.\n\nWeather Resistant\nThe keypad is designed to withstand UK weather conditions.
