Back to the Future! Latest outdoor VSD compressor installed….

The Avelair team have recently supplied a long term client a new Variable Speed 7.5kW rotary screw air compressor suitable for outdoor use. The client is a renowned specialist in the breeding & supply of F1 and open pollinated flower seed which are widely used in gardens all over the world, whether it be directly in the garden, on the patio or in hanging baskets. This latest compressor replaces an 18 year old Avelair that although has worked extremely well, it deserved a well earned rest. The latest compressor uses inverter technology to ensure optimum efficiency by ramping the motor power in response to air demand. The design for outdoor use includes the following: IP rated electrical enclosure IP rated emergency stop button Zinc under prime and outdoor C5 paint finish Internal mechanical frost protection kit Internal electrical frost protection kit Rain ingress protection on the inlet This design reduces the need for a dedicated plant room to house the compressor and thus saving space and expenditure.
