14th Brazilian Congress of Plant Physiology

Weiss Technik UK, in conjunction with it's Brazilian distributor for Fitotron® products, Tecnal, will be attending the 14th Brazilian Congress of Plant Physiology in Poços de Caldas, Brazil from 9th to 12th September 2013.After eight editions, the organizing committee of the Brazilian Society of Plant Physiology (Sociedade Brasileira de Fisiologia Vegetal - SBFV) has chosen the Federal University of Lavras (Universidade Federal de Lavras - UFLA) to coordinate the Brazilian Congress of Plant Physiology (CBFV – Congresso Brasileiro de Fisiologia Vegetal), now in its fourteenth edition. Participants have been awarded with 16 different conferences, each addressing issues of plant physiology; ranging from DNA, chloroplasts and mitochondria to the plant's physical environment. Each conference will share the latest findings obtained by combining knowledge and techniques of classical plant physiology with modern laboratory and field approaches. In addition to the scientific conferences, 10 mini courses will be also held during the congress. Between conference breaks there will be opportunities for informal sessions between students, researchers, professors and invited international speakers as a way to facilitate the formation of partnerships. During the congress, participants will be also invited to taste the famous wines, cheeses and cafés of Minas Gerais State.
