Whilst Cooling Towers are the most efficient means of cooling water, Dry coolers offer the ability to cool water without the risk of Legionnaires disease. Dry coolers can be usefully employed where cooling water temperatures, typically in excess of 35°C, are required. Although power consumption is higher than with Evaporative Cooling Towers, the lower cleaning and water treatment costs help compensate significantly.
