Striebig AG, manufacturer of the worlds top-selling vertical panel saw range, is showing its confidence in the future by investing 9.7m Euros (approx £6.7m) in a new 1,500 sq m production unit at its Littau plant in Switzerland.
An architects drawing of the attractive new Striebig production unit to be built at its Littau headquarters in Switzerland.
The building design chosen establishes a clear connection between the companys products and the activities of the majority of its customers. It uses a series of vertical wooden beams of various sizes as part of the cladding on the building facade, which also demonstrates the versatility of wood as a construction material.
Intended to address the current lack of space on the site, the new building will give Striebig the capability to deliver substantially increased production levels well into the future.
Said managing director Marcel Brunner: “Despite a general sluggishness in the woodworking equipment market last year, we experienced a 20% increase in sales. This was helped by the fact that we offer a complete range of vertical panel saws for every kind and size of woodworking operation, and by the introduction of our new, highly advanced Compact model.”
He added that he was optimistic that the companys sales would continue to increase this year, despite the current difficult market situation.
