ICOS – MOVANGOLA – HEAVY DUTY HYDRAULICS LABEL. Industrial commerce services – ICOS Movangola HYDRAULICS PUMP LABEL: MovAngola is a subsidiary of ICOS based in Angola, providing industrial hydraulics, pneumatics and 3D Printing services internationally. ICOS approached us in need of a branded, heavy-duty hydraulics label to be applied to a hydraulics arm used to lower sea-bed crawlers into the ocean. The label and its adhesive would need to be resistant to extreme weathering and abrasion in a difficult coastal environment. ICOS required two labels, containing QR codes, coloured branding and rating information. Requirements: A large, branded, extremely durable and weather-resistant label featuring multiple colours that could be applied to a hydraulics arm in a coastal environment. An additional printable, high-quality, heavy-duty ultra-bond label for the same application. Both labels would need to feature multiple pre-printed colours and logos, including QR codes containing product ratings and manufacturer information. A 300 DPI thermal transfer printer, accompanying software and resin ribbons would also be required for in-house printing, provided by Romark, completing the package and providing a full labelling solution on-site for MovAngola. THE LABEL SOLUTION: After we sent some samples and discussed the requirements in great detail with ICOS, we would recommend the following labelling material. The Large MovAngola Branded Label would be manufactured from RoMark’s “RML-47816″, which is UL-approved, durable, 80 micron, gloss metalised polyester featuring Romark’s unique ‘ultra-bond, heavy-duty’ permanent solvent acrylic adhesive, ideal for both smooth and heavily textured metal or plastic surfaces. This label was perfect for the weather-beaten hydraulics pump operating off the coast of Angola. The Small Branded Rating Label would be made of the same material as it features the same application requirements as the larger label, with the exception of printable space. This space was for MovAngola’s in-house dynamic data printing requirements. The label’s design would comprise pre-printed elements, with a print receptive clear gloss print guard to protect the preprint and also allow the client to print all the additional dynamic data they required.
