UK RECYCLING SECTOR SET FOR QUESTIONING AT PDM EVENT
The UK’s recycling sector is set to be put under the spotlight at next month’s Plastics Design and Moulding (PDM) event that is being held at the Telford International Centre. The event was established over 10 years ago and is the leading show for the design and moulding sectors of the plastics industry. Mike Baxter of the British Plastics Federation’s Recycling Group, will be at the forefront among other speakers from recycling companies, asking the big question to whether this country has a future in recycling waste plastics. The topics that will be discussed include the challenges of keeping UK plastics recovery facilities sustainable in the current economic environment, whether making changes to the government’s Packaging Recover Note system could provide better support for the industry and there will be a focus on future targets and what is best for the plastics industry in the UK. Tesco will also explain how they stopped the plastic recycling loophole with their single use carrier bags made from recycled plastic waste. The Plastics Design and Moulding event takes place over 2 days on June 14-15, for more information visit their website below. http://www.pdmevent.com/pdm2016/pdm-show
