Different materials may require slight modifications to the hole dimensions stated above and it is essential that the hole depth is sufficient to allow the screw to pass completely through the insert to achieve optimum performance. The head provides the useful feature of eliminating jack-out loads when used with a mating part which has a larger hole than the standard insert diameter. It can also be used as a contact point for electrical terminations.
