123 Axon’ nano-miniature connectors are officially approved by the ESA The ESA has officially approved Axon’ nano-miniature connectors to ESCC 3401/086 EPPL2. The connectors have successfully passed thermal and mechanical tests including shocks and vibrations simulating space conditions. Based on the Nano-D technology (0.635 mm contact spacing), they are an ideal solution for applications including electronic boxes, Antenna electronics or star tracker units which require extreme miniaturisation. They allow for space and weight saving. Axon’ has contributed to the writing of the ESA approval. ESA approvals for space connectors ESA approvals for MDSA micro-D connectors and ACB1 connectors have been renewed. MDSA connectors which are miniature connectors (1.27 mm contact spacing) are approved to ESCC3401/029 EPPL2. ACB1 connectors are to be crimped on to cables and assemblies designed and manufactured to MIL-STD-1553. ACB1 connectors are QPL listed (ESCC3401/079).
