Axon' Cable exhibits at DSEI in London
After Paris Air Show in June, Axon’ will exhibit at DSEI in London, stand S2-270 from 15th to 18th September 2015. This show dedicated to defense and security is a good opportunity for Axon’ to showcase its cabling solutions and interconnects. A twist capsule called Axotwist™ for Unmanned Vehicle will be unveiled on the booth. This demonstrator highlights the company’s expertise in the design of wires, cables, connectors and mini-systems. From the mechanical parts to the connectors, all parts have been designed by Axon’. Twist capsule for UAVs On their DSEI stand, Axon’ will highlight its expertise in custom designed twist capsules. Silicone covered flat cables in a “fold-back” configuration are placed between two metal rings which can rotate with respect to one another. With a huge variety of cable compositions, the Axotwist™ system maintains exceptionally low torque and high flexlife within a restricted space. Axon’ has long experience in manufacturing clockspring rotary connectors with flat flexible cables for automotive airbag systems. The company draws on this experience to offer dedicated solutions for the defence and aerospace industries. Interconnect solutions for the battlefield Security of data, electromagnetic compatibility, resistance to vibrations and shocks, space and weight saving are just some of the challenges that Axon’ can meet to design cables, cable assemblies and connectors. In the context of electronic warfare, electromagnetic interference (EMI) is a key issue to be considered for military electronic equipment.
