3D clothing design software allows the user to try on garments virtually to see the fit before making even a sample.Combining the 2D patterns, the characteristics of the fabric and the body shape the garment is draped on the body realistically and the fit assessed.Are the sleeves the right length? Does the back rise pull? Are the hips fitting well? Optitex 3D software answers all these and if the result is incorrect, simply alter the pattern in 2D and see the result in 3D.The software can also be used to trial the fit on body shapes that might not be quickly available e.g. American body shapes if you are in China, size 18 if you normally work with size 12
