Artificial grass Playground Flooring in Wivelsfield Primary School, Kent Expands Playground & Allows More Use of Playground Equipment Artificial grass transformed the playground at Wivelsfield Primary School, allowing the playground timber trim trail to be used more extensively. Rain had often meant the field was out of bounds at playtime which also meant the trim trail for out of use. Initially artificial grass was installed under the low level timber trim trail to provide a safe play surface for the pupils. Access to the play equipment entailed a short walk across a patch of natural turf . A further section of artificial grass was then installed between the tarmac playground and the timber play equipment joining the two area’s. The extended area provided a sports and play surfaces for the expanding numbers of school pupils to play in.
