We have carried out many different projects in the following areas. Data Centre, Banking & Finance, Industrial & Petrochemical, Telecommunications, Energy, Transport, Public Sector and Retail. In one recent project for a Major European Bank we added a further 1000kVA generator to an existing installation of 2 x 1000kVA generators. The existing generators switchgear and Mimic were located in the basement, with the new 1000kVA generator placed in the ground floor of a multi-storey car park. A new bulk tank was also supplied mounted in the basement of the car park and placed underneath the generator. The exhaust system included a precipitator filter mounted on the top of the container with a flue up through the car park floors to the Roof Garden. The precipitator filter is designed to reduce the levels of carbon monoxides, hydrocarbons, and particulate matter present within the exhaust output of a diesel engine by use of an oxidation process. Whilst the MTU engine has one of the cleanest outputs meeting the TA Luff regulations, AVK further reduced the level of pollution by introducing the precipitator filter as requested by the District Council.
