CHLOR-X SALT REMOVER Chlor-X is a unique formulation for the removal of salt contamination from car bodies and underbodies - either as part of a paint preparation process or within your?regular wash routine. It removes corrosive road salt and air born contamination. Dry salt crystals cling so well to the surface of steel that the treatment has to be able to get behind the salt to lift it from the steel's surface. Power washing alone cannot do this. A sample of salt contaminated steel boiled for one hour in water will only remove 90% of contaminant salt. It is this hard crystallised salt that requires a special surface surfactant to get behind the crystal and lift it from the surface. Our formula achieves this at a molecular level not previously available on the UK market. Chlor-X will also remove salts from concrete and most other substrates. Methods of application ? There are three formulations of Rustbuster Chlor-X?Salt Remover. ? 1. Chlor-X DTS (direct to surface) ready-to-use formula?can be applied straight from the bottle to the surface with no dilution required.? ? Wash the surface down first with Rustbuster Safer Degreaser. Apply Chlor-X DTS ready to use formula direct to the metal surface using the trigger spray bottle. Leave for 10 minutes and hose off. ? 2. Chlor-X 201 comes in a?Hozelock fit bottle for?adjustable ratio selection, or a standard 1ltr bottle.? ? Wash the surface down first with Rustbuster Safer Degreaser. Attach the Chlor-X 201 to a garden hose with a Hozelock type fitting to the end of the Chlor-X bottle. Set the mixture knob to maximum. Hose down the steel to be painted; the Chlor-X 201 will automatically meter the solution to the water. For regular car wash cleaning set mixture knob to minimum dose.?Leave for 10 minutes and hose off. ? 3.?Chlor-X 100 is 100% concentrated Chlor-X. ? This is strongest formulation for use in power wash steam clean or Hydroblast cleaners. Dilute 100:1 in power wash systems. Dilute 500:1 in blast clean systems. ? Chlor-X 100 can also be added to Rustbuster Safer Degreaser at one-part Chlor-X 100 to 10 parts Rustbuster Safer Degreaser. This can then be added to the dosing bottle on your power washer.?Leave for 10 minutes and hose off. ? ? Product description A clear liquid in various levels of concentration for the removal of salt. Directions for use Chlor-X DTS - Apply without diluting direct to bodywork or steel, agitating with a nylon brush. Chlor-X 201 - Concentrated formula supplied either with a hose end dispenser or in a bottle. If using the hose end dispenser set the concentration level as required from minimum to maximum. If you using withiut a hose end dispenser, dilute up to 20 parts water to one part Chlor-X 201. Chlor-X 100 - For power washing and steam cleaning, set to 100:1 at maximum pressure 3,000psi. Chlor-X 100 - For wet abrasive blasting, set ratio to 500:1, approx 1ltr to every 24 mtrs blast cleaned . In all methods of appliction hold pressure nozzle perpendicular to the surface and no more than 25cm away to ensure all surfaces are washed with direct pressure.
