Rooflights.com’s fixed elongated pyramid was instrumental in updating this grand Snettisham property.

TIME FOR A CHANGE RGR Developments were tasked with removing an old 1970s small kitchen extension and building a modern, open plan kitchen extension, with a master ground floor bedroom and en suite alongside, tripling the size of the former kitchen.

Rooflights.com’s elongated pyramid was placed in between the dining area table and the kitchen area, thus flooding light down and forcing one’s eyes to look towards the large bi-folding doors.

IT’S ALIVE! The live sedum roof was first covered with a protective EPDM rubber membrane, allowing the roof lantern to form a noteworthy view from above, and a next to sky-only from below by way of its minimal framework.

A HAPPY ENDING “The product was very easy to install” notes Ryan Rix of RGR Development. The rooflight came with a full set of plans and dimensions to build the roof upstand. Eplans were supplied at the ordering stage, so the roof could be built to exact specifications. “Once the rooflight arrived on site, it was merely a case of lifting it into place with the butyl rubber seal fixed underneath, and a selection of screws installed to hold it in place.” Mr Rix was impressed by the speed of installation, which took little more than twenty minutes.

“I would definitely recommend these rooflights to others, and we are already looking into the possibility of using one on some up and coming projects.”

Rooflights.com supplies square and elongated pyramids, both immensely suitable for period, or stately properties. View the range online, or order one quickly and conveniently over the phone on 0333 016 4273.
