Why it is so important to carry out the initial appraisal of every carpet prior to cleaning.Carpet Cleaning ProceduresA look at the various carpet cleaning procedures and the sequence in which they are used to achieve the best results. This section is simply to familiarise new people to the industry of the methods that are available to them.The Contents of a CarpetA detailed look at how a carpet is put together, why it is important to link the fibres and the construction of a carpet to a cleaning process.Chemicals in CleaningUnderstanding why it is important to select the right chemicals for each situation. How chemical balance (pH) works in the cleaning process. Chemical reversal processes.Spots and StainsOften the main reason a customer decides to have a carpet cleaned is that something has been spilt on it. Many spots and stains can be dealt with during the cleaning process whilst others need a more specialised approach. Do you want to be a hero?Cleaning Equipment for Various Cleaning ProcessesA look at the various bits of equipment that you will need to carry out a safe and effective clean. An opportunity for delegates to try the equipment out for themselves. This includes dry compound, bonnet cleaning, shampoo methods plus combination cleaning.ProtectorsThere are many opinions/myths as to whether protectors should, or even be, used. Why use a carpet protector? Do they actually work?Question Time...The course will be held at - The Premier Inn (Cramlington), Moor Farm Roundabout, Off Front Street Annitsford, Cramlington, Northumberland, NE23 7QA.The Trainer for both courses will be Derek Bolton, one of the best known and most respected trainers in the carpet cleaning industry. Derek started in the cleaning business in 1969. He joined the CCA (now the NCCA) in the early seventies and became a Director of the Association shortly afterwards. He has held many of the key rolls within the NCCA including President and Training Director. He is currently the Media Director and writes regularly for many of the Trade Magazines. Derek became involved with the 3M Scotchgard programme in 1977 and went on to become the principal instructor for the Scotchcare UK network.Lunch will be provided together with refreshments throughout the day.Numbers will be strictly limited so early booking is strongly recommended.
