In my case, my walking poles have been carefully secured with “bubble wrap” to prevent the sharp points breaking through, they have then been secured to my bag with “shrink wrap” to protect them both and also to avoid anyone tampering with them until I am re-united with them at the end of my flight to Australia. I think it might have been a little over the top to ask for Tiltwatch and Shockwatch indicators (with the way the baggage handlers sometimes treat our bags at the airports) and since my little case has wheels, I didn’t feel the need to ask for Skidmate Cushions incase it was accidentally dropped.
