United Utilities selects PPM to build low flow turbidity monitoring package PPM has fabricated another bespoke monitoring system for United Utilities - Liverpool region. The “low flow turbidity” package has been designed for sites which have intermittent or relatively small flow rates, making on-line sample acquisition and turbidity analysis difficult. PPM has built a system which accommodates period of “no flow” and incorporates compressed air cleaning of the turbidity sensor, flow cell and sample lines to reduce maintenance and improve measurement repeatability. For this installation, an additional enclosure has been arranged by the contractor, to reduce the risk of vandalism which has previously been an issue. The system is installed on the final outlet chamber giving continuous turbidity readings, to indicate the final effluent solids concentrations.

Proam ammonia to be installed at Wessex Water Melksham WwTW We have supplied a Proam ammonia monitor, complete with membrane filtration to Wessex Water for installation at Melksham WwTW. The installation will be made into an existing GRP kiosk and will receive a pumped sample, using a submersible pump located in the final effluent chamber. Signals will be connected to the site telemetry system allowing remote access to quality data, to maintain site compliance.

South Korean Protoc 300 TOC waste water application Dongmoon our distributer in South Korea, has placed another order for a Protoc 300 TOC analyser. The instrument is to be installed on a waste-water treatment plant in Chungcheongbuk-do province, located in the centre of South Korea, some 180 km from Seoul. Our experienced distributer will be performing the installation and providing after sales support.
