NSP Coatings Ltd offer Hot Zinc Spraying of steel and aluminium components both 'as srayed' and as a primer for powder coating. In the METALLISATION FLAMESPRAY process, the raw material in the form of a single wire is melted in an oxygen-fuel gas flame. This molten material is atomised by a cone of compressed air and propelled towards the workpiece. The molten zinc spray solidifies on the component surface to form a dense, strongly adherent coating suitable for Corrosion Protection or component Reclamation. Major advantages of the Flamespray process are that the zinc coating is available for almost instant use with no drying or curing times and there is no risk of damaging the component. Hot Zinc Spray is ideal for external applications such as architectural metalwork as well as for use in corrosive environments such as tanning mills, as well as marine environments.
