Auto-klean self cleaning filters

Auto-klean self cleaning filters have been protecting equipment from harmful solids in fluid for almost 100 years. During this time auto-klean filtration have designed and developed their filtration products to handle a vast range of fluids from water, viscous resins liquefied gases and high temperature steam are just a few. We also offer a full refurbishment programme on existing strainers . Standard Auto-klean self cleaning filters work on the ?edge cleaning? principle where the fluid is passed through a series of narrow slots in the wall of a cylindrical element. The liquid flows from outside to inside the element and as it passes through the slots any solids are captured on the edge of the outer plates. Cleaning is either manual or motorised and by turning the handle or shaft, the cleaner blades remove any solids and they are discharged to the sump. The outstanding feature of these filters is that they are self cleaning whilst in service so the flow of the fluid is not interrupted. They also have long life, our filters on the triple expansion steam engine at Kempton Park Water Works are still in operation after 60 years.
