FenceTek have been awarded the fencing package for a new multi million pound distribution centre in Hampshire. The tender process was very competitive and the Company was very pleased to be able to submit a very keen bid yet still comply with all the tender conditions, including the specifications and the very tight lead times. The initial phase was to provide and install 427 metres of 2.40m high 3 rail galvanised steel palisade fencing to sections of the site boundary with neighbouring businesses. The completion of the works will be in 2013 and will include a further 500 metres of steel palisade fencing along with 900 metres of mesh panel fencing and a sliding automated gate. The works were planned to be carried out in 14 days and were actually successfully completed within 12 days, enabling the handover deadline to be met. This required accurate planning from the FenceTek Contracts Manager, good liaison with the site Management, co-operation from our suppliers and installers working responsibly to a very tight schedule. The contract was carried out under strict safety parameters, full personal protection equipment for all the staff, including fire retardant clothes, was obligatory. The Companies Method Statements and Risk Assessments were carefully prepared and all personnel were required to undertake the full safety induction by Bowmer and Kirkland.
