Eriez Achieves Re-certification of ISO 9001:2008 Quality Standard

Customer satisfaction is high on the agenda at Eriez Magnetics Europe Ltd. This drive to meet customer needs led Eriez Europe to ensure re-certification of ISO 9001:2008 standard for its quality management system. Eriez undertook three full days of external audits by DNV where by all processes and departments within the business were looked into in great detail. During the audit it was found that Eriez conformed to the ISO 9001 Management System Standard and were awarded re-certification for the next 3 years. Eriez Europe design and manufacture Magnetic Separators, Metal Detectors, Vibratory and Sampling equipment from their plant in Caerphilly, South Wales. They first achieved their quality system to ISO 9001 in 1992 which led them to become the first manufacturer of Magnetic Separators in the World to attain the international quality standard. ISO 9001 is the internationally recognised standard for the quality management of businesses. It applies to the processes that create and control the products and services an organisation supplies, prescribes systematic control of activities to ensure that the needs and expectations of customers are met and is designed and intended to apply to virtually any product or service, made by any process anywhere in the world. For Eriez this achievement was a result of the entire organization working together to develop and maintain their quality system in order to be re-registered. Since their first accreditation in 1992 Eriez have continued to meet the ever growing customer demand for the highest level of quality. Eriez’ continuous improvement initiative aims to detect any areas that need improvement and set up the appropriate corrective actions to ensure high standards are maintained.
