Emeco 1006 Navy counter stool constructed using recycled aluminium. Each 1006 counter stool is made to order by hand in the USA by skilled Emeco craftsmen. Please expect a longer than usual lead time (the polished version can take up to 16 weeks). The Emeco 1006 Navy chair was originally commissioned by the US Navy for use on submarines in 1944. The now iconic Navy chair has been in continuous production ever since. The counter stool version of the Navy is made by hand and goes through a 77 step process. The skilled Emeco craftsmen take recycled aluminium, hand form it and weld it - then temper it for strength. Finally, the stool is anodised for a durable finish. The 1006 Navy Counter Stool is part of our Emeco Bar Stools collection and can be nicely combined with the Emeco 1006 Navy Chair and the Emeco 1006 Navy Barstool. The 1006 counter stool has exactly the same distinctive shape and proportions to the Emeco 111 Navy Counter Stool (made entirely from recycled materials) and is available in brushed and hand polished versions.
