New Export Opportunities at Bauma 2019

New Export Opportunities at Bauma 2019
24/04/2019

Throughout the whole 7 days, the Master Magnets and Bunting Magnetics stand at Bauma 2019 buzzed with visitors. Mineral separation demonstrations on the Rare Earth Roll Magnetic Separator ignited curiosity and stimulated questions. The new ElectroMax Overband Magnet, proudly displayed at the front of the stand, drew visitors and the media. There was particular interest in the heavy duty, plastic-cleated belt, designed to prevent large and angular tramp iron damaging the self-cleaning rubber belt.

“It has been a crazy week,” said Head of Sales, Dave Hills. “There were times when people were waiting on the stand because all our team were talking with visitors.”

Developing Export Business Exhibiting at Bauma 2019 provides the ideal platform to connect with existing clients and meet new potential customers. Companies visiting the stand were both geographically and industrial diverse. The team met and discussed projects based in six of the world’s seven continents.

“Exporting our metal separation technology is vital to the growth of our business,” explained Dave. “Most of the large mineral processing and mining projects are located in Asia, Africa and South America. Bauma has such a history and pedigree that it attracts key decision makers from those industries.”

High intensity Magnetic Separators for processing and purifying dry minerals and mineral slurries featured on the stand. The Rare Earth Roll Magnetic Separator continually processed and purified samples of feldspar and silica sand. Many visitors processing minerals agreed to material tests at the Master Magnets Technical Laboratory in the UK. “We are expecting our first mineral sample shortly,” said Dave. “In several cases, the customer wishes to travel across to the UK to witness the tests. Our laboratory is going to be very busy over the next few months.”

For visitors from the mining and quarrying sectors, the TN77 Metal Detector sat next to the ElectroMax Overband Magnet. This is the optimum combination of equipment to protect against tramp metal damage, using the Overband Magnet to remove ferrous tramp metal before the Metal Detector detects any non-ferrous metal contamination such as manganese steel digger teeth. Many other stands at Bauma also featured Master Magnets Magnetic Separators with Permanent Overband Magnets displayed on mobile crushers.

“We wish to thank everyone who took time to visit us at Bauma,” said Dave. “We will be in touch with everyone over the next week or so.”
