With over 120 countries represented and 14,000 visitors – FIREX is known to be the biggest show of its type featuring inspirational talks from Colonel Tim Collins OBE, Katie Adie OBE and James Cracknell OBE. A whole host of technical expertise from the exhibitors are also registered. This great line up makes for an exciting event so we were delighted to partner up with our Spanish partners, Sodeca, to make our mark on the Smoke Ventilation market. FIREX International is the only event that connects the global fire and security markets and gives fire and security professionals access to the very latest technology from suppliers across the world, plus cutting edge solutions and essential knowledge that you need to ensure life safety. Axair Fans & Sodeca are experts in the field of smoke control and pressurisation systems, therefore visitors to the stand were able to see first-hand the quality of the products on display including jet fans and frame axials. To support the successful CPD activity that Axair have been doing regionally, visitors were shown a physical demonstration of the behaviour of smoke within a stairwell in the event of a fire and learnt how a pressurisation system would help facilitate pedestrian escape routes and fire fighters in the event of a fire.
