Working higher than mast photography equipment and lower than the flying regulations of full-scale aircraft, the tethered helium aerostat can reach useful altitudes that are normally unreachable. Raw footage is recorded onboard and a 2.4Ghz downlink transmits the cameras feed to a base station for live monitoring. This patented system is diverse, quick to deploy and versatile for aerial surveillance and photography operations. Using the only floating camera platform of its kind in the world, Upper Cut Productions can raise high-resolution HDV and SLR cameras into the sky up to 200ft, and higher with Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) permission. The tethered helium balloon is ideal for windy conditions (operational up to 30mph) because the keel helps to keep it stable. It is also perfect for unobtrusive aerial filming and surveillance with it's large payload and long autonomy.
