The plastics recycling company R.Plast Kunststoffaufbereitungs- und Handels- GmbH in Schweinfurt, Germany, now relies on an UNTHA shredding solution. Following numerous comprehensive and successful test series with baled PP big bags and fibres in UNTHA's test and demonstration centre, R.Plast put a new RS100 industrial shredder (four-shaft shredder) into operation past summer.
As a producer of clean and sorted plastics agglomerates and grinding stocks, the company integrated the industral shredder as an important component into its existing plant. The input material is charged into the shredder's hopper with the help of a fork lift. Subsequently, the material is shredded against a screen to the size of the defined final fraction and then is discharged via a belt conveyor for further processing. The downstream agglomerator's capacity is now made use of to a much greater extent since the fraction is now fed continuously. Thanks to the industrial shredder, the entire plant's work flow could be optimised and thus, the production output was increased. Staff who was previously busy with the time-consuming and strenuous process of opening bales manually can now be appointed to other tasks at R.Plast.
The customer's requirements were more than fulfilled thanks to the machine's simple handling, rugged and reliable technology, high throughput of 3 t/h and the possibility of shredding various materials.
