Garapa decking and Cedar screens create modern family garden

Gardens are a place to express our individual styles just as much as interior design, whether you love gardening or prefer a low maintenance, modern garden it’s clear that we’re paying more attention to garden design than ever before. After recently moving into a new home, a couple with a young family hired Paul Richards Garden Design to continue the work they were doing on the house through to the garden, to create an outdoor space suitable for their family. A new decking area was designed to match the level of the kitchen where new bi-fold doors would be installed to create a seamless transition from home to garden. Paul’s clients liked the idea of having a number of different areas where the children had space to play whilst the adults had their own place to sit back and relax. With this in mind the characteristics of the timber for the deck played a big part in the overall aesthetic of the design, as the decking would cover such a large area.
