At the tail-end of last year, Grant Westfield sponsored a project for the Edinburgh College of Art's Product Design course. The brief was to design a vanity unit solution using one sheet of our market leading multiPANEL waterproof wall panelling.
In December we attended to the finalists’ presentation, and selected a winner from five very different, creative and innovative solutions. The winner was unanimous, and Grant Westfield is now looking to develop the product further, with a view to launching it onto the market later this year.
The winning pair – Helen Fisher and Charlotta Nanina – both won an iPod touch as well as the opportunity to visit our product designers in London, taking in the BSEC Building Schools Exhibition at the same time.
The winning ‘multiUNIT’ was shown as a concept at the National Homebuilding & Renovating Show at the NEC in March, receiving much praise.
